Nawal Al-Maghafi is an Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist, documentary filmmaker and broadcaster.
As the BBC's Senior International Investigations Correspondent and one of the founding members of BBC Eye, the BBC World Service's flagship investigations unit, she has spent more than a decade uncovering stories from the world's most challenging environments. Her reporting has taken her from the frontlines of conflict in the Middle East and Ukraine to gang-controlled neighbourhoods in Haiti, exposing human rights abuses, organised crime and abuses of power.
Nawal combines investigative rigour with powerful storytelling to bring audiences closer to the people and issues shaping our world. Her work has reached millions globally and has been recognised with multiple international awards, including Emmy Awards, RTS Awards and a Gracie Award.
